Caroline was keen to raise awareness and funds for research into age-related macular degeneration (AMD) so that in future fewer people would suffer from it.

The biggest cause of blindness amongst adults in the UK, AMD is a condition where the cells in the central part of your retina, called the macula, become damaged. It affects your central vision and makes reading, looking at photos or watching TV difficult.
